James is some times called the Proverbs of the New Testament.
He wrote not about how to become a Christian but how to live like a Christian.
Having all the correct beliefs is not enough. Scripture says the demons believe in God.
James describes specific spiritual actions expected of Christians.
Do not merely hear the Word, but be a doer of the Word.
James’ orders: Be humble! Submit to God! Stop sinning!
