It is Tuesday February 6th. A beautiful day here for us. It is 57 degrees at mid morning. This is why we are in AZ some would tell you, for sure!!
It is a God-given day. One to rejoice in, that we are capable, still of looking about and seeing all that God has given to us.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! 2) Bless the Lord, O my soul And forget not all His benefits; 3) Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4) Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5) Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s” (Psa. 103:1-5).
8)”The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. 9) He will not always strife with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. 10) He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor punished us according to our iniquities. 11) For as the heavens are high above the earth so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; 12) As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us” (Psa. 103:8-12).
Psalm 103: 11 and 12 were two of Loren’s favorites. Mine too. God’s Word is full of mercy and forgiveness and peace……………………………and pleasure too. We are given the ability to praise His holy name. He tells us, “I want you to trust Me in your times of trouble, so that I can rescue you and you can give me Glory”.
One last thought. I read this earlier and want to share it with you. Some of us think it is the “other person” who has caused us to be the way we are. Not so. Listen to this.
“I am who I am today because of the choices I made yesterday.”
There is no reason to blame anyone for “who” we are or “why” we are. I make choices. You make choices. No one else does in your life, nor mine. And that is good to know, isn’t it!
Til next time. Marge
